Professor
Steven Reiss created the 38-item Reiss Screen in 1986 and the
60-item Reiss Scales in 1988. Data obtained from these
instruments were used to justify the creation of many service
programs in North America, the U.K., and elsewhere. Professor
Reiss received four national awards (two for research and two for
professional contributions) for his work on dual diagnosis, a
fifth national award for leadership in the national UCEDD network,
and two recognitions for volunteer work.
